Something happened to Paul between 1 and 2 Corinthians that changed him. Something profound and painful happened to him that shaped him. Something has happened to us in the last months. Something profound and painful and even spiritual has happened to us that has and will shape us. As we look at 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 we begin to lean on our God even more and to rise up from the ashes of our pain.
God be with you this week as you begin to rise up and step into the life God has given you.
UPDATE: Team up to Clean up
This event was originally schedule for Saturday, June 20, but was postponed because of severe weather. We are going for it again - this Tuesday, JUNE 23, from 5 - 7 pm. We’ll meet at Mount Lebanon and head out into our community to team up to clean up this neighborhood we call ours. Please join us in this effort to show love to our community.
This year there will not be a face-to-face Lutheran Women's Missionary Society (LWMS) convention or a WELS Missions event called Taste of Missions. Instead LWMS and WELS Missions have combined efforts to produce an online mission event called Taste and See.
Everyone is invited and it is free! The opening worship service kicks off the two-week period of daily events on June 27, 2020, at 11 a.m. and is followed by the flag presentation at noon.
Join your fellow Mt. Lebanon members to watch the service and flag presentation together (it's called a watch party) at the church. If you don't feel comfortable being in a larger group of people, please watch it individually or invite a friend or two to join you. Explore how the Holy Spirit is blessing the work done through WELS home and world missions by reading all about the event as posted in this WELS Missions Blog.
