Ransom #5 - Denial
Sin is such a powerful thing. Temptation tugs at us every step of the way. Our fall into sin and a denial of Jesus isn’t a matter of if, but when. Through it all, however, Jesus is right with us. He is there during our temptation. He will receive He warned Peter before his denial. He is there afterward. He called Peter back his denial and overwhelming forgave his sin. He will not leave us. He will walk with us in our whole life and will receive us to his side on the last day. We will not be ashamed. This weekend Pastor Krueger takes us in Mark 14, examining the denial of Peter and the warnings and the comforts we receive there.

Ransom #3 - Perfect Submission; Perfect Love
The gospel writer, Mark, is an artist who paints with words. In the text before us this weekend (Mark 14:32-52), he paints a picture of a vivid and authentic conversation between the Son and the Father. They have a conversation about a cup. They have a conversation about wrath. They have a conversation about submission. They have a conversation about God’s will and our salvation. It is a vivid picture that Mark paints for us, and we get to look on in awe.
Ransom #2 - Anointed
“She’s doing what? She spent how much? To do what with it? Why would he allow this to happen? Jesus, don’t you understand?” Those are just a few of the thoughts that may have rushed through the disciples’ minds as they watched the events of Mark 14:1-11 unfold in front of them. But such a beautiful thing was happening, if only they had the eyes to see it and understand it. They could have learned so much from this woman as she anointed Jesus’ feet with oil.
This week as we continue in the “Ransom” series, we will see a woman anoint Jesus’ feet extravagantly with oil, and we’ll learn to be like her.
Ransom - #1 - One for All
This series will look at Mark’s Gospel, examining the events that led up to the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Mark took great lengths to communicate why the cross was necessary and what it accomplished for us. Namely, that the King of the Universe came to give himself as a ransom for a world that gathered to mock him so that they could become people who worship him. The entire book culminates in the declaration of the centurion from the foot of the cross, “Surely this man was the Son of God.”
The series begins by looking at Mark 10:32-45.
