Amos is a difficult book. There is no way around that. He confronts Israel with many sins against the Lord and against people. In this sermon, we want to ask questions: How did it get so bad? And how can we keep far from this? In doing this, we will reclaim for ourselves a biblical understanding of our privilege as God’s chosen people who are dearly loved. We will also begin to see what this privilege of grace means for us as we step into the world.
