This Weekend at the Mount - 1/29/22

Studies show that by the end of January and, most of the time, before the end of January, many of the plans and resolutions that people have made for the new year have fallen by the wayside. How can we reset our lives and stay on that path? First, let’s be clear that we will have setbacks along the way. We’re not going to be perfect in our resilient walk spiritually, emotionally, or physically no matter how disciplined we may be. Second, this means that each day can be a “Day 1” for us. But most importantly, we have to recognize the gift that God has given us in our Christian friendships and in our Christian congregation. We have people next to us in life who are chasing the same eternal goal as we are, who only want our best. The wise way to reset is in community with our friends and with those who share our faith.

Tomorrow in worship we’ll study the value of our friendships for a truly wise life.
