Connect Groups AND New Sermon Series

The Mount is committed to helping people grow in their faith and in their relationship with God as we study the Bible together with fellow believers.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up. Also if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

People cannot grow in isolation.   We want to velcro people to the two things that they need in every season in life and especially when times are tough: God's Word and God's people.  We are all about “doing life together” filled with God's Word.

We have created Connect Groups with this very goal in mind. We want to connect you to the two things you need for life and eternity: 1) God’s Word and 2) God’s people.

We pray that first and foremost these connect groups will provide God’s people a safe and intimate place to wrestle with, understand and connect God’s Word to their life. We also pray that these groups will promote the development of significant Christian relationships centered around the study of God’s Word. These groups will run from the week of April 18 – June 13.

New Series “Next”: A sermon series in the book of Acts.

The disciples met with Jesus on the mountain. They came to him in worship. They came to him with doubt and fear. What would their future hold? What was next? In their minds, their future was up in the air. They were unsure about it. But, their future was never uncertain. In the book of Acts, Luke records what happened next for the people of God. It wasn’t always pretty, but it was always ordered by their Savior. These are the Acts of the risen Savior!

We find ourselves on the same mountain. We worship the risen Christ and we doubt. We aren’t sure about what the future holds. But we know the One who is certain. We know the One who holds the future in his hands. It won’t always be pretty, but it will be ordered by our Savior.  What’s next? Our Savior knows and we’ll find out.

This weekend we’ll be looking at Acts 1:12-26. Bet you’ve never thought about <—— this text before! Watch this video promo to learn a little more. Get ready!
