Some things change our lives and leave a lasting impact on us. The transfiguration of Jesus did that for Peter. It was something that he called to mind when he wrote his second letter. As Peter writes to us and we hear his Word, Peter would have us come back to the one thing that truly will change our lives and leave an eternal impact on us and on the world - God’s Word. He shows us with convincing proofs why God’s Word is the one thing that turns all the lights on for us.
