Worship at the Mount - 10/17 and 10/18

We’re getting there. The Lord is giving joy to us.

Last week he reminded us that our joy is not found in our circumstances but the sovereign rule of our God. Yes, our God delights in us as a groom delights over his bride. Our God delights in us as a father rejoices at the birth of his child. It gives our God and Father, together with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, great joy to save us. Yes, all of heaven rejoiced when we believed in him. What gives God joy makes us glad. If you missed last week’s sermon, you can listen or watch it here.

We already have comfort from our God in his plan for us, our lives, and especially for our eternity. He certainly has a plan for us, and he is working it out in our lives every day. This week, we rejoice in another work of God: His Purpose for our lives here and now. In Philippians 2:12-18, Paul speaks to us candidly about God's straightforward purpose for our lives, namely this: Shine like Stars! We hope you’ll be able to join us for worship this weekend as God shows us the powerful purpose he has for our lives.

On Saturday, we will also have the joy of celebrating some baptisms! Pastor Krueger has been sharing the gospel with some of the families in our school, and some of them want to get baptized! They will be baptized during the worship service on Saturday at 5:30 pm. Baptism is such a gift! We can’t wait to give it to them this Saturday.

Please join us on Saturday or Sunday for worship.

  • Saturday (in-person) @ 5:30 pm.
