Weekend Update - August 1, 2020

This weekend, we begin a brand-new worship series called: “Short Stories.” Jesus is our Savior. He is also our Teacher. He often told short stories, aka parables, that taught us spiritual truths through an earthly story. We will sit at the feet of Jesus and learn truth from him. We’ll gather for worship on Saturday at 5:30 pm and on Sundays at 9:30 am. We will also broadcast our service on Sunday morning at 9:30 am HERE on our YouTube channel.

This Sunday we’ll be looking at the Parable of the Sower and the Seeds (Look it up and read it - Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23). Jesus told us parables to teach his children important spiritual truths. As you start to meditate on his Word this weekend, ask yourself this question: What does Jesus mean to teach me when he says, “He who has ears, let him hear?” Come to worship and listen to the Word from our God and about our God. He longs to bless us, free us, save us, and transform us by his Word.

This is a brand new study starting this weekend at Mount Lebanon.

“Wisdom comes first. Acquire wisdom! Above all things, acquire discernment′′ (Proverbs 4:7). Proverbs in 30 is the best bargain in Milwaukee, at least if we want to believe this Word.

I'm excited about this study for many reasons. We call it Proverbs in 30. Proverbs, because that's what we're going to study. 30 because we'll be done in 30 minutes or less. We want to have some practical, hard-hitting conversation about real topics that Lady Wisdom addresses. This study will be different in which we will take turns to be students and also participants. I'll explain more in our first study.

Sundays at 11 am outside under the tree (bring lawn chairs). Starting August 2.

Tuesdays at 7:30 pm via zoom (Join Zoom Meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/4638945507). Starting August 4.
