Psalm 23 is one of the most well-known and favorite psalms and for good reasons. It pictures for us a shepherd, and not just any shepherd, LORD who is our Shepherd. The God of free and faithful covenant love. The God of goodness and mercy. The Shepherd of tenderness and compassion. His rule and reigns, his might and mercy, his protection and leading, bring us to rest in him and his protection. And, yes, the storm my continue around us. Indeed, dangers may abound around us. But he is not stopped. His protection is not thwarted. Yes, we the sheep are safe under his protection and care. We lay down in safe places.
This Wednesday we continue our midweek series through this beloved Psalm. We will be considering Psalm 23:2-3 as we gather for a service of song, of Scripture and of prayer. We would love to have you.
