Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. – Psalm 90:1-2

Dear family,

This Sunday is Last Judgment. We remember that Jesus is coming again to judge the living and the dead. He teaches us to watch for his coming. He calls us to number our days. We wait for him but not with fear. We live for him and are unafraid. He is our dwelling place today and will be through every generation.

This week we learned that three Mount Lebanon members who had attended church last weekend tested positive for COVID. I want to assure you that they did not come to church sick. We thank God that their sicknesses have not been severe to this point. Let’s join together in praying for their recovery.

Out of an abundance of caution and with heavy hearts, Mount Lebanon leaders met this evening (11/5) and decided to cancel in-person worship this weekend. This allows us to do a thorough deep cleaning of the church. It also gives us two weeks from any possible chance of contact.

We will stream our worship service on YouTube at 9:30 am on Sunday morning. The video broadcast of the service will be available after that. Look for later communication via email, Facebook, and our website regarding the video broadcast of the service.

You can find it most easily here: www.theMountMKE.com/sermons.

We will regather for in-person worship again the weekend of 11/14 and 11/15. This is a one Sunday reset, not an extended shut-down. We made this decision out of an abundance of caution.

When we regather, please continue to self-assess before coming to worship. If you note the symptoms commonly identified, please worship from home. We will continue to stream our Sunday worship on YouTube. In addition, continue to follow the safety protocols that have been established.

We love you, and only want to see you in heaven with us. We may not be gathering for worship in the same building this weekend, but nothing can stop the Gospel from comforting and strengthening our faith as we wait for Jesus. We’re bringing it! We will stand upon the Mount(ain) of the Lord and proclaim his truth to you. Nothing can stop us from proclaiming. Nothing can prevent our God from sending His Gospel out.
